Shipping Policy
Chocolate is a temperature-sensitive product, so we take extra care with every order we ship. Below is how we pack, ship, and stand behind your order throughout the year.
Free shipping on all orders of $65.00 or more (before tax).
Order Processing
In-stock orders are processed and shipped within 1–2 business days of being received. Business days do not include weekends or holidays.
Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Delivery times begin when the carrier picks up your package.
Summer Shipping Schedule (May 15 – September 15)
To keep your chocolate from sitting in a warehouse over the weekend, summer orders ship Monday through Wednesday.
We’ll release a Thursday shipment when delivery by Saturday is guaranteed or nearly guaranteed. Otherwise, the order is held and ships the following Monday.
Orders placed Thursday through Sunday during this period will typically ship on Monday.
Shipping Methods, Rates, and Transit Times
Orders ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Available shipping methods and rates are calculated at checkout based on your destination, package weight and dimensions, and current carrier rates. Standard ground and expedited options may be available.
Transit time averages 2–3 days once the package is in the carrier’s hands, though this varies by destination and season.
During periods of extreme heat, expedited shipping may be required for certain destinations to protect the chocolate in transit.
How We Pack Your Order
Our bars ship in protective outer cartons built for parcel delivery. Depending on order size, bars may be packed in preassembled bundles or in their original display-box configuration.
We adjust packaging throughout the year based on seasonal temperatures:

In warmer weather, your order may include an insulated mailer or outer container, one or more ice packs, protective cushioning or void fill, and a sturdy outer shipping carton.
The exact packaging and number of ice packs varies with order size, destination, weather forecast, and expected time in transit.
We may adjust packaging or shipping method at any time to reduce the risk of melting or heat damage.
If Your Chocolate Arrives Warm
Ice packs are meant to moderate temperature during transit, not to keep your order frozen. It’s normal for them to arrive soft, warm, or fully thawed, and this does not necessarily mean the chocolate has been damaged.
Please bring your package indoors promptly after delivery. Avoid leaving it outside, in direct sunlight, or in a hot vehicle.
Shipping Delays
Carrier delays, severe weather, incorrect addresses, and other circumstances outside our control can affect delivery times.
We prepare every shipment carefully, but delivery dates provided by carriers are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Please review your shipping address carefully before submitting your order and contact us right away if you spot an error. Once an order has shipped, we may not be able to change or redirect it.
Damaged or Heat-Affected Orders
If your order arrives damaged or significantly affected by heat, contact us within 10 days of delivery.
Please include your order number and clear photographs of:
- The shipping carton
- The shipping label
- The interior packaging
- The affected products
Photographs are required so we can document the damage with the shipping carrier.
Eligible claims may receive a replacement or a refund to the original payment method. Each claim is reviewed individually.
Cancellations
Orders may be canceled before shipment.
Once you’ve received a shipping confirmation and tracking number, the order can no longer be canceled.
